Lucky numbers betting differs from lotto betting in the sense that you can bet on individual balls and other bet types with fixed odds. That means your return on a lucky number bet is always going to the same. For instance, if you bet on the number 1, 7 and 23 to come up in one of the draws, your odds will be fixed and winnings paid according to your odds, stake amount and the numbers you predicted correctly. You do not need to predict all the numbers correctly to get a payout in Lucky Number betting.

Lucky Numbers Betting Odds

As mentioned each bet type in Lucky Numbers has its own returns, or odds. We are going to be having a look at what some of these bet types are below, based on a 49 ball draw. The betting odds might vary from bookmaker to bookmaker, but once you understand the concept you will have a good grasp of how the odds work on each number.

1 Number

Choose 1 number between 1– 49.  If your chosen number is drawn out of the 7 lotto balls you are a winner!  You WIN 5.5 x the amount you played.  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R55 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R65

2 Numbers

Choose 2 numbers between 1– 49.  If both of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls you are a winner!  You WIN 52 x the amount you played.  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R520 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R530

3 Numbers

Choose 3 numbers between 1– 49.  If all three of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls (including the bonus ball) you are a winner!  You WIN 400 x the amount you played.  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R4000 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R4010

4 Numbers

Choose 4 numbers between 1– 49.  If all four of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls, you are a winner!  You WIN 4000 x the amount you played.  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R40 000 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R40 010

Bonus Ball

Predicting the correct bonus ball will win you 47 times the amount you played!  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R450 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R460

Single Bonus Ball

Predicting the bonus ball as a single number between 1-9 will win 4.25 times the amount you played!  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R42.50 PLUS the R10 you played.  Total amount won = R52.50

Bonus Ball High and Low

Correctly predicting the Bonus Ball as either a HI ball or a LOW ball, will double your money!  E.g. Playing R10 will win you R10 PLUS the R10 you played.  Total amount won = R20. Number 25 is the bookmaker’s ball and all bets on high-low will be losers if number 25 is the bonus ball.

Draw Sum

Draw Sum will allow you to wager on the outcome of a market, e.g. whether the sum of the balls drawn will be odd or even. Remember, there can only be one unique bet per outcome for the side markets.
